Job summary

BayCare Health System is seeking a Medical Assistant or LPN to deliver outstanding patient service across Tampa Bay and west central Florida. Location: Morton Plant HAVI; schedule 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, Monday–Friday. The role covers histories, lab procedures, EMR management, and regulatory compliance, with generous benefits.

Certification: BLS required; CMA/CCMA/RMA or active license preferred within 6 months of hire. Education: HS diploma; Technical MA preferred. Experience: 2 years preferred.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required; CMA/CCMA/RMA or active license/certification preferred within 6 months of hire.
• Must meet certification/licensure requirements (EMT, NREMT, Paramedic, LPN) as applicable.
• High School or equivalent required; Technical MA preferred.
• Ability to obtain Medical Assistant Certification if not currently certified.

Responsibilities

• Take patient histories and perform routine lab procedures; prepare specimens for transport.
• Follow up on test orders, report results to provider and patient; maintain patient education materials.
• Maintain EMR and ensure clinical supplies; keep medical equipment in working order.
• Comply with regulatory requirements and perform other duties as assigned.
• Provide patient education and support to ensure quality care.
