Job summary

BayCare Health System in the Tampa Bay area seeks a Medical Assistant or LPN who is dedicated to delivering outstanding patient service in a busy outpatient setting.

The role includes patient histories, routine labs, EMR documentation, and coordinating with providers. It is a full-time position with a 7:00 AM–5:00 PM schedule, Monday through Friday, located at St Anthonys Jackson Street.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certification: CMA/CCMA/RMA or active license within 6 months or equivalent.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) within 30 days of hire.
• Must have MA/CMA/CCMA/RMA or active license OR EMT/Paramedic/LPN eligibility within Florida.
• Preferred 2 years Medical Assistant experience.

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient histories and perform routine lab procedures.
• Prepare specimens for transport to the lab.
• Follow up on test orders and report results to provider and patient.
• Maintain patient education materials and EMR.
• Comply with applicable regulatory regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
