Job summary

Essentia Health in Duluth, MN is seeking an LPN or Medical Assistant to support ambulatory care alongside RNs and physicians. The role includes direct patient care, performing defined procedures, and caring for a patient age range from newborn to elderly in a busy clinic setting.

The ideal candidate will be licensed or certified and able to obtain required credentials within set timeframes. A flexible shift, with potential remote/hybrid options, may be available.

Qualifications

Job Description:

Education Qualifications:

Licensure/CertificationQualifications:

Certification/Licensure Requirements:

• Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in appropriate state, i.e. Minnesota, Wisconsin, OR current registration or certification as a Medical Assistant OR Verifiable completion of a Medical Assistant Program and must become certified withinone year of date of hire. (Must pass certification withintwo attempts), OR if Essentia Health trained CMA Apprentice must have completion of Medical Assistant Program and become certified within 4 months of transfer. (applicable to any CMA apprentice hired after 7/1/26)
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certified, or able to obtain within 3 months.(Department 46680 – Registry Management Team: BCLS certification is not required)
