Job summary

BayCare Health System in Largo, FL is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant or LPN who delivers outstanding patient service and supports providers with examinations, procedures, and patient education. The role emphasizes EMR management, lab prep, and adherence to OSHA/CLIA standards.

The position is full-time, in-person at Largo locations with day shifts. Qualifications include MA certification within 6 months (or active license), EMT/NREMT/Paramedic/LPN options, and preferred MA experience;

Qualifications

• Approved Medical Assistant Certification required within 6 months of hire date or proof of active license/certification.
• EMT or Nationally Recognized EMT (NREMT) or Paramedic or LPN license accepted.
• Preferred 2 years Medical Assistant experience.
• Externship experience should be included with location and dates whenever completed.

Responsibilities

• Assists providers with patient examination, procedures, and treatment.
• Document patient histories and perform routine lab procedures and specimen prepping.
• Follow up on test orders and communicate results to provider and patient; maintain patient education materials and equipment.
• Create and maintain patient EMR records.
• Comply with OSHA and CLIA regulations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
