Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Preferred Technical Medical Assistant certification.
• BLS within 30 days of hire.
• Approved Medical Assistant Certification within 6 months of hire or active license/certification.
• Ability to meet state licensure eligibility (EMT, NREMT, Paramedic, or LPN) as alternative.
• Acknowledge requirement to obtain CMA/CCMA/RMA if not certified.

Responsibilities

• Take patient histories and perform routine lab procedures.
• Prepare specimens for transport to the lab and follow up on test orders.
• Provide patient education materials and maintain EMR.
• Comply with regulatory agency regulations and perform other duties as assigned.
