Summary of Position

The clinical staff at the Premier Physician Network are responsible for general clinical and procedural patient care under the direction and supervision of the center’s physicians and/or providers.

Location and Schedule

Premier Cardiovascular Institute - Troy

FT / DAYS / 80 hours per pay period

Responsibilities

• Assist providers with patient care, including order entry, reporting, phone calls, clerical, and organizational tasks.
• Perform procedures such as venipuncture, injections, pulmonary function tests, ear irrigations, ultrasound therapy, muscle stimulation, hot/cold packs, EKGs, breathing treatments, x-rays, lab testing, Holter monitoring, dressing changes, wound cleaning, hearing and vision tests.
• Assist with surgical and medical procedures like minor wound repair and foreign body removal.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Medical Assistant applicants must have completed an accredited Medical Assistant program and/or certification.
• LPN applicants must have completed a practical nursing and pharmacology program and hold current state licensure.
• Prior experience in ambulatory healthcare preferred.
• Ability to learn and assist with tasks, be self-motivated, and provide high-quality patient care.
• CPR certification within the first 3 months of employment.
• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding.
• Familiarity with EPIC EMR preferred.
• Understanding of HIPAA law.
