BayCare in Dunedin, FL is seeking a Medical Assistant or LPN to support clinical operations at the Mease Dunedin Physician Office Building and HomeCare. This full-time, onsite role delivers high‑quality patient care and maintains efficient workflows within the practice. Shift is Days, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.

Education: HS diploma required; MA program preferred. Licensure/certification within six months or active EMT/NREMT/Paramedic/LPN license accepted.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED is required for the role.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant program or related technical training is preferred.
• Medical Assistant experience is desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Assist providers with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments.
• Obtain patient histories and prepare patients for visits.
• Perform routine lab procedures and prepare specimens for transport to the lab.
• Follow up on test orders and communicate results to providers and patients.
• Maintain patient education materials and update EMR records.
• Maintain medical equipment and clinical supplies.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and CLIA regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Role Overview

As a Medical Assistant or LPN, you will support clinical operations by assisting providers and delivering high-quality patient care while ensuring efficient workflows within the practice.

Key responsibilities include:

• Assisting providers with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments
• Obtaining patient histories and preparing patients for visits
• Performing routine lab procedures and preparing specimens for transport to the lab
• Following up on test orders and communicating results to providers and patients
• Maintaining patient education materials
• Creating and updating patient records in the electronic medical record (EMR)
• Maintaining medical equipment and clinical supplies
• Ensuring compliance with OSHA and CLIA regulations
• Performing other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education

Required:

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)

Preferred:

• Completion of a Medical Assistant program or related technical training

Experience

Preferred:

• Medical Assistant experience

Licensure / Certification

Required:

• Approved Medical Assistant Certification within six (6) months of hire OR proof of active license/certification as one of the following:
  • EMT (Emergency Medical Technician)
  • NREMT (Nationally Registered Emergency Medical Technician)
  • Paramedic
  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
