Job summary

BayCare Health System in Tampa, FL is seeking a Medical Assistant or LPN who delivers outstanding patient service. The role supports providers, maintains EMR, and performs routine labs and education to patients.

Qualified candidates have a Medical Assistant certification (or equivalent licensure) and are ready to work full-time in a dynamic, team-oriented environment with comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant certification required within 6 months or proof of active license/certification.
• EMT or NREMT or Paramedic or LPN licensure accepted.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Prefer 2 years Medical Assistant experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers with patient examination, procedures and treatment.
• Record patient histories and routine lab procedures; prepare specimens for transport to the lab.
• Follow up on test orders and report results to provider and patient; provide patient education materials; maintain medical equipment; order clinical supplies.
• Create and maintain patient EMR.
• Complies with OSHA and CLIA regulations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
