Baptist Health Urgent Care in North Little Rock, AR is seeking experienced Medical Assistants or Limited License X-Ray Techs to join a fast-paced urgent care team.

The role involves clinical and administrative support, including taking vital signs, preparing patients, and assisting providers. A High School diploma, BLS, and CMA preferred, with a willingness to pursue an AR Limited X-Ray License.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients promptly in the waiting area, exam room, or lab/x-ray room.
• Communicate wait times and guide patients through the treatment process.
• Provide solutions to patient problems and recognize emergent situations.
• Perform follow-up calls with a sense of urgency.
• Assist front desk with patient check-in/out when needed.
• Record vital signs, weight, history, medications, allergies, and pertinent history accurately.
• Assist with patient transfers and procedures under provider supervision.
• Follow documentation procedures and complete required visit documentation.

Baptist Health Urgent Care is looking for experienced Medical Assistants or Limited License X-Ray Techs to join our team in North Little Rock, AR.

Job Summary

The Medical Assistant provides clinical and administrative support to ensure exceptional patient care. Responsibilities include preparing patients, taking vitals, assisting providers, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities

The following duties and responsibilities generally reflect the expectations of this position but are not intended to be all inclusive. Other duties may be assigned.

• Promptly greets patients when entering waiting area, exam room, and laboratory or x-ray room
• Consistently communicates with patients on wait times; provides direction to the next step in the treatment process
• Provides solutions to patient problems and recognizes and seeks help in emergent/hazardous situations
• Executes follow-up calls with a sense of urgency
• Assist front desk personnel with patient check in/out procedures when necessary
• Obtains and accurately documents patient vital signs and weight, takes brief history, past medical, family and social history current medications, allergies and other pertinent historical information as appropriate
• Assists with patient transfers
• Assists with procedures directly supervised by the provider
• Follows documentation procedures and completes required documentation related to patient visit

WHAT'S THE SCHEDULE?

Full-time team members work a rotating 36-40 hour/week schedule, consisting of 12-hour weekday shifts and every-other weekend. Our PRN (per diem) team members are scheduled on an as-needed basis.

WHAT'S REQUIRED?

• High school diploma or equivalent
• BLS Certification
• Certified Medical Assistant is preferred
• Willingness to get AR Limited X-Ray License is preferred
