Job summary

Baptist Health Urgent Care is seeking experienced Medical Assistants or Limited License X-Ray Techs to join our North Little Rock, AR team. The Medical Assistant provides clinical and administrative support to ensure exceptional patient care, including vitals, history, and records management.

Full-time hours are rotating 36-40 per week with 12-hour shifts and occasional weekends. AR Limited X-Ray License or CMA preferred; high school diploma and BLS required.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• BLS Certification required; CMA preferred.
• Willingness to obtain AR Limited X-Ray License preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and manage intake.
• Take vitals and document medical history accurately.
• Assist providers and procedures under supervision.
• Maintain accurate charting and follow-up communications.

Baptist Health Urgent Care is looking for experienced Medical Assistants or Limited License X-Ray Techs to join our team in North Little Rock, AR.

Job Summary

The Medical Assistant provides clinical and administrative support to ensure exceptional patient care. Responsibilities include preparing patients, taking vitals, assisting providers, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities

The following duties and responsibilities generally reflect the expectations of this position but are not intended to be all inclusive. Other duties may be assigned.

• Promptly greets patients when entering waiting area, exam room, and laboratory or x-ray room
• Consistently communicates with patients on wait times; provides direction to the next step in the treatment process
• Provides solutions to patient problems and recognizes and seeks help in emergent/hazardous situations
• Executes follow-up calls with a sense of urgency
• Assist front desk personnel with patient check in/out procedures when necessary
• Obtains and accurately documents patient vital signs and weight, takes brief history, past medical, family and social history current medications, allergies and other pertinent historical information as appropriate
• Assists with patient transfers
• Assists with procedures directly supervised by the provider
• Follows documentation procedures and completes required documentation related to patient visit

WHAT'S THE SCHEDULE?

Full-time team members work a rotating 36-40 hour/week schedule, consisting of 12-hour weekday shifts and every-other weekend. Our PRN (per diem) team members are scheduled on an as-needed basis.

WHAT'S REQUIRED?

• High school diploma or equivalent
• BLS Certification
• Certified Medical Assistant is preferred
• Willingness to get AR Limited X-Ray License is preferred
