Job summary

Baptist Health Urgent Care in North Little Rock, AR is seeking experienced Medical Assistants or Limited License X-Ray Techs to join our clinical team. The role supports patient care including vitals, history intake, and assisting providers, with a focus on accurate record-keeping and smooth patient flow.

Full-time team members work a rotating 36-40 hour/week schedule, including 12-hour weekday shifts and every-other weekend, with PRN opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• BLS Certification.
• Certified Medical Assistant is preferred.
• Willingness to get AR Limited X-Ray License is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients in waiting areas, exam rooms, and x-ray room.
• Communicate wait times and guide patients through treatment steps.
• Assist with patient problems and escalate emergencies when needed.
• Perform follow-up calls with urgency.
• Assist front desk with check-in/out procedures.
• Document vital signs, history, medications, allergies, and relevant data.
• Assist with patient transfers and procedures supervised by providers.
• Follow documentation procedures and complete required visit records.

Baptist Health Urgent Care is looking for experienced Medical Assistants or Limited License X-Ray Techs to join our team in North Little Rock, AR.

Job Summary

The Medical Assistant provides clinical and administrative support to ensure exceptional patient care. Responsibilities include preparing patients, taking vitals, assisting providers, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities

The following duties and responsibilities generally reflect the expectations of this position but are not intended to be all inclusive. Other duties may be assigned.

• Promptly greets patients when entering waiting area, exam room, and laboratory or x-ray room
• Consistently communicates with patients on wait times; provides direction to the next step in the treatment process
• Provides solutions to patient problems and recognizes and seeks help in emergent/hazardous situations
• Executes follow-up calls with a sense of urgency
• Assist front desk personnel with patient check in/out procedures when necessary
• Obtains and accurately documents patient vital signs and weight, takes brief history, past medical, family and social history current medications, allergies and other pertinent historical information as appropriate
• Assists with patient transfers
• Assists with procedures directly supervised by the provider
• Follows documentation procedures and completes required documentation related to patient visit

WHAT'S THE SCHEDULE?

Full-time team members work a rotating 36-40 hour/week schedule, consisting of 12-hour weekday shifts and every-other weekend. Our PRN (per diem) team members are scheduled on an as-needed basis.

WHAT'S REQUIRED?
