Millennium Physician Group in Valrico, FL is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to join our team at the Bloomingdale Ave location. The ideal candidate is positive, energetic, well-organized, capable of multi-tasking, and focused on delivering excellent patient care and customer service.

You will assist in examinations, collect vitals and histories, perform basic procedures, enter data into the electronic health record, and support physicians, ARNPs or PAs.

Qualifications

• Completed a Medical Assisting Program or CMA certification/registration.
• CPR/BLS certification.
• Ability to type at least 40 WPM.
• All certifications kept current (CMA, CPR, BLS, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Assist in examination and treatment by collecting vitals and medical histories.
• Perform basic procedures and diagnostic testing as directed.
• Enter data into the electronic health records system.
• Support physicians, ARNPs or PAs to deliver high-quality patient care.

Millennium Physician Group is seeking to hire a full-time Medical Assistant to join the team in our Valrico Bloomingdale FL location. We are looking for a new team member who is positive, energetic, and well-organized, can multi-task, and think outside of the box. We want someone who supports our top initiative of ensuring excellent patient care and customer service.

How Will You Make An Impact & Requirements

As a Medical Assistant you will be directly involved in the care for our patients. You will be responsible for top notch Patient Experience for every patient that walks into the office. You will be assisting in examination and treatment of patients under direction of the Physician, ARNP or PA by collecting patient vitals, medical histories, administering diagnostic testing, performing basic medical procedures, entering data in the electronic health records, and any other tasks required to give the best patient care.

Millennium will provide you with ample training. New hire training will include training both in a classroom setting and hands-on training. We will introduce and walk you through our Electronic Health Records systems, referral processes, our Patient Portal, and everything you will need to know to be a successful team member!

Required Knowledge And Experience

• Completed a Medical Assisting Program/Completion of Certification or Registration

Required Skills And Abilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have strong computer skills and knowledge of EMR systems; Athena knowledge preferred but not required. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, climb and balance. The employee is occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

The anticipated base salary range represents the Company's good-faith estimate of the compensation it reasonably expects to pay for this position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, skills, qualifications, geographic location, internal equity, and business needs.
