Job summary

Boulder Centre for Orthopedics and Spine is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our clinical team. The MA will support providers with patient care, manage records, and help maintain smooth back-office operations across our Boulder and Broomfield locations.

The role requires HIPAA proficiency, basics in vital signs, venipuncture, and injections, and a strong commitment to infection control. A GED or high school diploma is required, with MA certification preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; medical assistant diploma or certification preferred.
• One year of MA experience preferred; externship in a medical office desirable.
• Proficiency in vital signs, venipuncture, and injections required.

Responsibilities

• Support physicians in delivering patient care and ensure smooth workflow during examinations and treatments.
• Manage patient records, appointments, and insurance details for accurate operations.
• Uphold infection control standards in exam rooms and supply areas.
• Adhere to HIPAA guidelines to protect patient privacy and respond to emergencies.
• Perform clinical tasks including obtaining vital signs, assisting with minor surgeries, and running lab procedures.
• Educate patients on home care strategies and proper use of assistive devices.
