Job summary

The Boulder Centre for Orthopedics is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our patient care team in a fast-paced clinic. The MA will perform back-office duties, take vital signs, assist providers, and help maintain orderly patient flow at our Boulder and Broomfield locations.

We value compassionate care, strong communication, and adherence to HIPAA. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, plus MA training; travel between Boulder and Broomfield will be required based on operational needs.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED required; MA diploma or certification preferred.
• Experience: 1 year in medical facility as MA preferred; externship desirable.
• Proficient in vital signs, venipuncture, and injections.

Responsibilities

• Support physicians in delivering comprehensive patient care by anticipating needs and ensuring smooth workflow.
• Manage patient records, appointments, and insurance details accurately.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in exam rooms and supply areas following infection control protocols.
• Adhere to HIPAA guidelines to protect patient privacy and confidentiality; respond to emergencies as they arise.
• Perform clinical tasks including obtaining vital signs, assisting with minor surgeries, and conducting laboratory procedures.
• Educate patients on home care strategies and proper use of assistive devices.
