Maryland Oncology Hematology is hiring a Medical Assistant to support physicians and clinicians in a fast-paced clinical setting. You will assist with patient care, exams, and procedures, and help maintain efficient patient flow and scheduling.

The role requires a High School diploma or equivalent, a Medical Assistant certificate if available, and a current BCLS certification within 3 months of hire. Prior MA/NA experience at the entry level is acceptable, with potential for growth within the

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Certificate of graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
• Entry level position with 0-3 years experience as a Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant.
• Current BCLS certification required within 3 months of hire.
• Certified Medical Assistant preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Escort patients to and from exam rooms, physician offices, and treatment room as appropriate.
• Record patient data prior to each physician visit, including vital signs, height, weight, allergies, and medication changes.
• Obtain all necessary patient records as required by physician prior to treatment or procedures.
• Prepare and stock exam/treatment rooms and orders supplies as needed.
• Assist physicians with exams and procedures as requested.
• Administer subcutaneous and intramuscular injections as delegated by RN or physician.
• Maintain all exam/treatment room disinfection protocols.
• Answer patient telephone calls for referral to physician or nurse/pharmacist.
• Phone in prescriptions and make other patient calls as directed by physicians and RN.
• Inform physician of patient reschedules and no shows.
• Perform other administrative duties as requested by supervisor or physician.
