Job summary

Virtua Health in New Jersey seeks a part-time Medical Assistant to support clinicians by obtaining vital signs, medical history, and chief complaint, and by performing routine clinical tasks within scope of practice.

Responsibilities include phlebotomy, EKG, injections, audiometry, spirometry, and maintaining accurate medical records. 20 hours per week with flexible scheduling and competitive hourly pay. On-site work at High Street location with strong teamwork and HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program.
• BLS certification, RMA/CMA/AMT or equivalent recognized by NJ Board upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patient and assists clinician during examinations; documents vital signs and medical history.
• Performs clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, injections, EKG, audiometry, spirometry, and urine collection.
• Maintains medical records with real-time data entry and handles basic front desk duties per HIPAA requirements.
• Oversees inventory and ensures equipment accuracy and regulatory testing as needed.
