Job summary

Boomerang Healthcare is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians during examinations and patient interviews. This on-site role includes handling basic office duties and EMR data entry, with supervision from licensed providers.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, a Medical Assistant program, and BCLS with AED. Bilingual Spanish/English is strongly preferred. The compensation range is $23.00 to $24.00 per hour, with standard benefits and on-site hours Monday–Friday.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant course from an accredited/recognized school.
• Current BCLS with AED certificates.
• Experience in a medical clinic, hospital or SNF setting: 1 year.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend medical documentation.
• Excellent computer skills including Excel and Word.
• Familiarity with EMR software; training will be provided.
• Strong verbal and written information presentation skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with patients and coworkers.
• Knowledge of HIPAA confidentiality and safety guidelines.
• Willingness to collaborate and adapt as a team member.

Responsibilities

• Assist assessment and examination of patients.
• Record patient subjective information.
• Enter information into the BHCEMR system.
• Monitor patient welfare until examination begins.
• Assist Physician with patient forms.
• Inspect exam and stock rooms; ensure supplies.
• Travel to other office locations if needed.
• Assume other responsibilities as needed.
