Job summary

Boomerang Healthcare is seeking a Medical Assistant to work on-site with physicians, assisting in examinations and patient interviews. You will document patient information, enter data into the BHCEMR system, and support clinicians throughout procedures.

The role requires basic office duties, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to travel to other offices if needed. The candidate should have a Medical Assistant course, a High School Diploma or GED, and current BCLS with AED, with

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant course from an accredited/recognized school.
• Current BCLS with AED certificates.
• Experience in a medical clinic, hospital or SNF setting: 1 year
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend medical documentation.
• Must be comfortable using Electronic Medical Record software (we will train).
• Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate with patients, medical professionals, and co-workers.
• Knowledge of confidentiality per HIPAA, treatment and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist the assessment and examination of patients.
• Record patient subjective information and concerns.
• Enter information into the BHCEMR system.
• Check on patient welfare until Physician begins examination or procedure.
• Assist Physician in completing patient request forms.
• Inspect exam and stock rooms; ensure supplies are adequate.
• May travel to other office locations to assist Physician as needed.
• Assume other responsibilities to meet organizational needs.
