Job summary

University Hospitals Pain Management in Cleveland, OH seeks a Medical Assistant to provide clinical and administrative support in an outpatient setting. You will room patients, record vitals, document in the EMR, and assist with procedures while promoting efficient, patient-centered care.

• Assist with front desk duties specific to department, including scheduling patients, collecting and verifying patient payor information and other patient documentation.
• Performs basic patient centered care as delegated by provider.
• Provides a safe environment for patients.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Complies with all policies and standards.
• For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation.
• Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain PHI for our patients. Annual training, UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures address PHI use.

A Brief Overview

The Medical Assistant provides clinical and administrative support in an outpatient setting. This role includes but not limited to rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, documenting in the electronic medical record, assisting with procedures, supporting providers, and promoting efficient patient flow while delivering patient-centered care.
