Job summary

MaineHealth Obstetrics and Gynecology - Rockport is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our fast-paced team. You will work one on one with a provider to enhance patient care, including rooming, vitals, and assisting with procedures and calls. A positive attitude and reliability are essential.

Full-time, 40 hours per week. Sign-on bonuses of $4,000 (0-1 year) or $5,000 (1+ year) apply; bonuses prorated for part-time. Possible location-based licenses may apply.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Medical Assisting program with 160 hours clinical experience or 6 months in an MA program.
• 1 year of clinical experience in a multi-provider practice.
• Current BLS certification or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
• AAMA, NHA, AMT, NCCT, or NREMT certification preferred.
• Relevant Medical Assistant experience preferred.
• NH Med Tech/NH EMT licenses may be required for NH locations.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and obtain vital signs with a provider.
• Assist with procedures and suture removals.
• Return patient calls and contribute to patient care.
• Work in a fast-paced environment with strong communication and reliability.

1+ years of experience eligible for $5,000 (full time)

Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time MA position.
Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.

MaineHealth Obstetrics and Gynecology - Rockport | MaineHealth is offering an exciting opportunity for a Medical Assistant to join our team! We are looking for candidates who enjoy a fast-paced work environment, with strong communication skills, a positive attitude and a proven record of reliability. Our medical assistants work one on one with a provider to enhance patient care and wellness through rooming and obtaining vital signs, assisting with procedures, suture removals, and returning patient calls. This position requires a positive attitude to contribute tothe team spirit within the practice.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

1. Education: High School diploma or GED preferred. Must meet one of the following requirements: Graduated from an accredited vocational institution or community college in Medical Assisting with 160 hours of clinical experience completed; or completion of an Adult Education Medical Assistant program and 6 months of clinical experience in a practice setting; or 1 year of clinical experience in a multi-provider practice setting (equivalent experience will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
2. License/Certifications: Current AAMA, NHA, AMT, NCCT, or NREMT certification preferred. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date. Fully remote care team members are exempt from BLS certification requirement. A NH Med Tech License, or NH EMT and National Registry EMT license is required for those positions located in New Hampshire.

The pay range for this position is $21.09to $27.12 per hour.
