As a Medical Assistant in our OBGYN department, you will be part of a dedicated team of physicians and medical staff providing caring, thorough health services to our patients and their families. In this role, you will perform a wide variety of patient care activities for clients of all ages. We are looking for someone detail-oriented and attentive, with strong communication and patient care skills, and a commitment to creating a healthier Hawaii.
High school or equivalent. Completion of a Medical Assistant Program and/or equivalent experience. Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), OR Assessment Based Recognition in Order Entry (ABR-OE) from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), OR Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) from the American Medical Technologist (AMT), OR Nationally Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT), OR Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) from American Registry of Medical Assistants, OR Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA) from National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP), OR Clinical Medical Assistant Certification (CMAC) from the American Medical Certification Association (AMCA), OR Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) from the National Healthcareer Association (NHA). Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR Card. Must be able to complete departmental competency assessment by conclusion of orientation period.
One (1) year back office medical assistant experience in an outpatient clinic, physician’s office, or related experience.
