Job summary

Endeavor Health in Chicago, IL is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our coordinated health system. You will greet patients, document vitals, and support front desk operations while assisting clinicians across ambulatory locations.

Phlebotomy and injections may be required, with training provided where needed. Minimum education is high school diploma; CPR is required and MA certification is preferred but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program preferred but not required.
• CPR certification through the American Heart Association required; AMT or AAMA certification preferred but not required.

• Greet patients and escort them to exam room.
• Document vital signs, allergies, medications and reason for visit.
• Provide front office support as needed.
• Perform basic vitals like BP, height and weight.

Hourly Pay Range

$19.89 - $28.84 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights

• Position: Medical Assistant
• Location: Chicago, IL
• Full Time/Part Time: Full Time
• Hours: Monday - Friday 6:30 AM - 6 PM Sat 8:30 am - 1 pm
• Required Travel: Travel to other sites based on department needs

What you will do

• Greet patients and escort them to exam room
• Document vital signs, allergies, medications and reason for office visit
• Provide front office support as needed
• Perform basic vitals like BP, height and weight
• Phlebotomy and injections may be required

What you will need

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent work experience is required. Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program is preferred, but not required
• Certification: CPR certification through the American Heart Association required; Medical Assistant Certification (AMT or AAMA) is preferred, but not required.
• Experience: One year of work experience required, previous experience working in a medical office (or related field) is preferred. On the job training is provided for those who do not have previous medical assistant training or experience.
