Job Title: Medical Assistant

Position Details:

  • Location: Greater Pittsburgh OB/GYN team, Cranberry Township, PA
  • Travel: Support staffing needs within a 30-mile radius
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 5:00pm, occasional evening shifts until 6 or 7pm, no weekends or holidays
  • Responsibilities: Back and front office duties, patient care, administrative tasks
  • Experience: Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred
  • Salary: Based on individual experience and education, aligned with the Medical Assistant Career Ladder
Responsibilities:
  1. Manage patient medical records in compliance with HIPAA and other regulations.
  2. Obtain lab/x-ray reports, hospital notes, referrals, and complete necessary forms. Schedule appointments, verify insurance, and manage patient charts.
  3. Prepare exam rooms, set up instruments, and maintain infection control standards.
  4. Organize patient flow, assist with patient mobility, and gather patient information, including vitals and screenings.
  5. Answer calls, provide patient education, and relay instructions.
  6. Perform phlebotomy, EKGs, and assist with clinic procedures, documenting patient information accurately.
  7. Ensure compliance with OSHA, CLIA, and other regulatory standards, maintaining confidentiality.
  8. Administer injectable medications and vaccines under supervision, as appropriate.
