ProMedica is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to work directly with patients and providers to deliver clinical excellence and an enhanced patient experience. You will prepare patients for visits, take vitals, run tests, and help schedule workflows.

Excellent communication with patients and the health care team is essential. Leadership responsibilities include serving as a resource for Medical Assistants and the Patient Service Coordinator teams.

Qualifikationen

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Completion of an MA program at an accredited college/university or 1 year of MA experience to meet certification requirements.
• Registration or Certification as Medical Assistant; or active LPN/RN license.
• BLS/CPR certification required or obtained within 90 days of hire.

These tasks require following clinical protocols, regulatory requirements and standards.Communication is key in this role; you will interact with patients, peers and all members of the health care team. You will also apply your clinical knowledge when answering patient phone calls and relaying messages for providers or nurses.This position also requires leadership skills as you will act as a resource and role model for Medical Assistants and Patient Service Coordinator teams.The above summary is intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed in this role. Completion of a recognized MA program at an accredited college or university or worked 1 year as an MA to meet the requirements to become certified.Experience in the medical industry, including patient care or non-patient care roles.
