Job summary

Tri-City Cardiology in Gilbert, AZ is seeking a Medical Assistant to join a fast-paced office where quality patient care is the priority. You will assist physicians with patient care, complete chart prep, take vitals and EKGs, document medications and allergies, manage supplies, and support diagnostic testing as needed. Local travel to other Tri-City Cardiology locations is required.

Schedule is 20–25 hours per week, Monday–Friday between 7:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Medical Assistant diploma required.
• Current BLS certification (must be obtained in 90 days if not current).
• Medical Assistant certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verifies accurate chart prep before patient visit.
• Follows MA rooming protocol and clinical protocols per diagnosis or procedure.
• Accurately updates medications, allergies, pharmacies, risk factors, social and family history in chart.
• Obtains vital signs, EKGs and rhythm strips as needed.
• Stock, clean and maintain supply inventory in exam rooms.
• Cross train for additional diagnostic testing as needed.
