Experience
Medical Assistant experience in an ambulatory setting preferred. 0-1 year preferred and A minimum of 6 months employment in an ambulatory physician practice setting in the last 3 years preferred 0-1 year preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action in a timely fashion.
• Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with staff, patients, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public.
• Must possess the willingness to work harmoniously with professional and non-professional personnel and the general public.
• Must be able to read, write legibly, speak clearly and understand the English language.
• Must meet 1 of the following within 1 year of employment if not completed prior to hire date.
• Preferred successful completion of Medical Assistant School/Program or comparable training within related discipline.
• Enrollment in program to enhance MA skills: Registered (RMA), Certified (CMA), Certified Clinical MA (CCMA).
• Enrollment in program leading to further skill development with medical field (including but not limited to CNA, EMT, LPN, RN, CNM, NP, PA, MD, DO.
