Job summary

PENSACOLA NEUROLOGY CENTER is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient visits in our neurology practice. You will prepare charts, verify prior authorizations, pull notes, assist with care, manage tests and lab reports, and help keep patients informed about their condition and treatment.

The role also involves inventory management, room cleaning, and maintaining exam rooms, with a focus on accuracy, patient service, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• BLS certification is required; CMA is preferred.
• Experience with neurology-related medical knowledge is a plus.
• Proficiency with EMR, CPT/ICD coding terminology, and office software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for patient visits by pulling charts and notes and setting up equipment.
• Keep instruments clean and ready for use; assist with procedures.
• Maintain prior authorizations for prescriptions and procedures as needed.
• Answer phones, schedule visits, and address patient questions about care.
• Track labs, relay results, and manage routine medical office duties.
• Manage inventory, organize supplies, and maintain clean exam rooms.
