Job summary

Baptist Health in Jacksonville Beach, FL seeks a Medical Assistant to join the Neurology department, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, assisting providers and handling rooming, vital signs, and documentation.

Ideal candidate has 2+ years patient care experience, experience in a physician’s office, and is willing to cross-train to support the team; sign-on bonus up to $1,000 is available.

Qualifications

• 2+ years patient care experience
• Experience in physician's office
• High School Diploma or GED required
• BLS required
• Certified Medical Assistant preferred

Responsibilities

• Provides medical assistance to physicians
• Obtains vital signs
• Greets and chaperones patients during medical visit
• Maintains medical documentation
• Schedules care, treatment, diagnostic tests per physician
• Processes prescription requests and referrals

Education

High School Diploma/GED

Associate of Arts/Science Preferred

Baptist Health is currently seeking a Medical Assistant to join our Neurology department office located in Jacksonville Beach, FL. This is a Full-Time opportunity working Monday-Friday from 8:00AM-5:00PM. The ideal candidate will perform back-office Medical Assistant duties, including rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, and assisting the provider. We are looking for someone who is flexible, eager to learn, and willing to cross-train to support the team.
