$17.24/hour starting wage for non-certified Medical Assistants

$18.41/hour starting wage for Medical Assistants Certified through AAMA or AMT

Under general supervision, and according to established policies and procedures, the Medical Assistant will provide excellent patient care by performing or assisting in various procedures and tests, including vital signs, injections, venipuncture, and clerical duties to ensure efficient operations.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Perform to service excellence standards
• Prepare examining rooms, turn on computer terminals, and stock supplies
• Organize forms for physicals
• Collaborate with providers to assist in patient care

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent and six months of experience as a medical assistant, or
• High school diploma or equivalent and completion of a recognized medical assistant, emergency medical technician, nurse assistant, LPN, or medic program

Additional requirements include BLS certification within 6 months for clinics with Rural Health Designation and travel to clinics for float positions.
