Qualifications

• Must have 6-12 months experience or certification as Medical Assistant and CPR certification (or completed within 4 months of hiring).
• Working knowledge of medical terminology.
• Proficient on computers. Knowledge of ICD10 and EMR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verifies patient information by interviewing patient and recording medical history.
• Prepares patients for examinations and assists with procedures.
• Records office visits via electronic templates in EMR.
• Assists with testing, injections, blood draws, and related tasks.
• Triages phone messages and coordinates with providers.
• Performs front desk duties: scheduling, posting copays, insurance contact as needed.
