Job summary

Baylor St. Luke's Medical Group is seeking a Medical Assistant to keep daily operations smooth for patients and clinical teams.

You will proactively prepare patient charts, verify up-to-date information, and manage multiple patients daily depending on physicians on-site. Responsibilities include performing vital signs, venipuncture, specimen collection, EKGs, and POCTs; collecting patient history and medication reconciliation in the EMR; noting chief complaints; setting up instruments; and

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required at hire.
• Medication Aide course or current certification required if applicable.
• Basic Life Support (CPR) certification required within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Acts as a float pool resource to clinics within local region.
• Takes vital signs and performs venipuncture, specimen collection, EKG/ECG, and POCTs.
• Collects patient history and documents in the EMR.
• Notes the primary complaint/reason for visit.
• Sets up instruments and equipment for providers (MD/DO/PA/NP).
• Assists with procedures as needed.
