Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
• 1 year of MA experience in physician office/clinic preferred.
• EMR/EHR experience preferred.
• CPR/BLS certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and prepare them for examinations and procedures.
• Review schedules and assist with patient flow.
• Document histories, vitals, screenings.
• Assist providers during exams and procedures; document/chart.
• Administer medications/injections as directed.
• Collect specimens and prepare them for lab tests.
• Perform triage calls and relay concerns to providers.
• Provide patient instructions on meds and follow-up care.
• Verify insurance, demographics, and maintain EMR.
