Job summary

UW Health's Dermatology and Mohs Surgery clinic is seeking a Medical Assistant (MA, CMA, RMA, CCMA, LPN) to join our team. This part-time position (80% FTE) offers day shifts with Tue 9:30-4:30 and Wed-Fri 7:00 am–4:00 pm, with no weekends.

You will assist with dermatology procedures, help with phototherapy or laser treatments, and support patient education in a compassionate, patient-centered environment. UW Health provides a strong benefits package and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and ONE of the following required.
• Completion of an accredited medical assistant program or LPN licensure.
• CCMA/CMA/RMA certification as a UWH employee may be required.
• CPR/BLS certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on assistance with dermatology and Mohs surgical procedures, including biopsies, excisions, and wound care.
• Facilitate phototherapy, photodynamic therapy or laser procedures.
• Deliver quality care in a compassionate and patient-family-centered environment.

Work Schedule

We are currently seeking a Medical Assistant (MA, CMA, RMA, CCMA, LPN) - Dermatology and Mohs Surgery to:

• Join our UW Health dermatologists and advanced practice providers who diagnose and treat diseases of the skin, hair, nails and mucous membranes in a fast-paced clinic.
  Provide hands-on assistance with dermatology and mohs surgical procedures, including biopsies, excisions, and wound care.
• Facilitate services such as phototherapy, photodynamic therapy or laser procedures.
• Deliver quality care in a compassionate and patient-family-centered environment.
• Promote healthy lifestyles, wellness, and education.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and ONE of the following Required
• Completion of an accredited medical assistant program or
• Licensure as an LPN or
• Completion of the UWH Medical Assistant Apprenticeship Program or an Employee Partner Medical Assistant Program or
• Attainment of the CCMA certification as a UWH employee or
• Acceptance into the UWH MA Apprenticeship Program - Accelerated or
• One year of recent Medical Assistant experience and CMA, RMA or CCMA Certification

Work Experience

• 1 year of experience as a Certified Medical Assistant or LPN Preferred

Licenses & Certifications

• Certified as MA, CMA, RMA, or CCMA within 1 Year Required or
• Licensure as an LPN Upon Hire Required
• If applying in lieu of Medical Assistant education or LPN licensure, must have current CMA, RMA, or CCMA certification Upon Hire Required
• CPR/BLS certification Upon Hire Required
