Pyramid Healthcare Inc. is seeking a Medical Assistant to support medical staff and ensure smooth operations at the facility. This role involves patient intake, documentation, and coordination with the medical team.

Responsibilities include taking vital signs, processing labs, admissions support, and maintaining client records. HIPAA compliance and strong organizational skills are essential for success in this position.

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant degree/certification or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in Drug and Alcohol/Mental Health settings is preferred.
• Knowledgeable of HIPAA regulations and applicable laws/regulations, DDAP, CARF.
• General office skills and organizational ability.

Responsibilities

• Answer phone calls and complete documentation and filing to support medical staff.
• Complete medical records accurately and timely.
• Assist with the admissions and consent process for clients, and provide ongoing support during medical appointments.
• Obtain and document vital signs and urine screens for medical team review.
• Complete lab requisitions upon admission and as needed; monitor outcomes and review with the medical team.
• Create and distribute client packets.
• Maintain a safe physical environment for all clients.
• Establish and maintain therapeutic relationships with clients; communicate and document changes in client status effectively.
• Support prior authorization and medication ordering processes as needed.
• Schedule follow-up medical appointments and make external referrals for clients as directed by the medical team.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Summary:
