The ideal candidate holds a Georgia Medical Assistant license/certification, CPR certification, and phlebotomy credentials, with corrections experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Current Georgia Medical Assistant license/certification.
• CPR certification required; Phlebotomy certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patient vital signs and record data.
• Implement orders for diagnostic lab tests.

The Medical Assistant works under the direction of the RN or LPN and is responsible for monitoring patient vital signs, implementing orders for diagnostic lab test, and assisting the Physician with minor procedures. Additionally responsibilities include recording EKGs, maintaining and cleaning medical equipment, and collecting data for Quality Improvement programs, as assigned.

• Current Georgia Medical Assistant license/certification

• Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check

Available Shift: Days, Monday-Wednesday, Friday 8am-4:30pm, Thursday 5:30am-2pm
