Job summary

Centurion Health is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant for our Waycross, GA facility. You will provide direct patient care to incarcerated individuals and support daily living activities under nursing supervision.

The role requires a CNA certification, a high school diploma or GED, and ideally one year of experience in long-term care or correctional settings. The day shift runs four 9-hour days with rotating weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CNA certification required.
• 1 year of experience in long term or correctional settings preferred.
• Must pass TB screening with PPD documentation.
• CPR and AED certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to incarcerated individuals under supervision.
• Assist patients with personal hygiene and daily living activities.
• Monitor vital signs and report changes to nursing staff.
• Support care needs as part of a multidisciplinary team.

The CNA works under the close direction of nursing, medical and psychiatric staff to perform direct patient care to incarcerated individuals. Responsibilities include assisting patients by supporting personal hygiene, daily living needs and vital sign monitoring.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
• One (1) year of experience in long term or skilled care, residential care, physician practice or correctional setting preferred
• Must show/obtain current Purified Protein Derivative (PPD) documentation for tuberculosis screening
• Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) use
• Must be able to pass a background investigation and obtain agency security clearance where applicable
