Job summary

Centurion Health at Ware State Prison in Waycross, GA, seeks a full-time Certified Medical Assistant for day shift (Mon-Fri, 8am-4:30pm). You will support the RN/LPN, take vitals, assist with minor procedures, and perform EKGs in a correctional healthcare setting.

Pay range is $17-$22 per hour with comprehensive benefits. Requires a High School Diploma/GED and CPR; corrections experience is preferred but not required; ability to obtain security clearance is needed.

Qualifications

• CPR certification required.
• Corrections experience preferred, not required.
• Ability to obtain security clearance, including drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patient vital signs.
• Implement orders for diagnostic lab tests.
• Assist physician with minor procedures.
• Record EKGs.
• Maintain and clean medical equipment.
• Collect data for Quality Improvement programs.
