Job summary

Lutheran Health Network is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient care and administrative tasks within a clinic setting. You will assist with procedures, maintain exam rooms, and help ensure efficient operations while delivering excellent service to patients and staff.

The role requires completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program (or equivalent) and 0-1 years of experience in a medical practice. Training and ongoing learning opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Completion of Medical Assistant program from an accredited school preferred.
• 0-1 years of experience in a medical practice setting or externship program required.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers with non-invasive medical procedures and vital signs.
• Prepare and clean exam rooms before patient visits and clinical procedures.
• Perform patient intake duties, including reporting test results and documenting medical information.
• Review and maintain daily logs and documentation.
• Support administrative duties: pre-registering patients, scheduling appointments, referrals, and insurance verification.
• Maintain organized workload and provide prompt, courteous service to providers and patients.
• Educate patients on medications, diets, and health topics.
• Maintain regular attendance and comply with policies.
