Job summary

Endeavor Health in Buffalo Grove, IL seeks a Medical Assistant (MA) for a Full Time/Part Time role. Location is Buffalo Grove, IL, with hours Monday-Friday, 7am-6pm and rotating weekends. Travel to other sites may be required.

Responsibilities include greeting patients, documenting vitals and medical history, and providing front office support. Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; MA program preferred. CPR certification required; MA certification preferred but not required.

• CPR certification through the American Heart Association required.
• One year of work experience in a medical office preferred; on-the-job training provided.

• Position: Medical Assistant

• Full Time/Part Time: Full Time

What you will do

• Greet patients and escort them to exam room
• Document vital signs, allergies, medications and reason for office visit
• Provide front office support as needed
• Perform basic vitals like BP, height and weight
• Phlebotomy and injections may be required

What you will need

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent work experience is required. Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program is preferred, but not required.
• Certification: CPR certification through the American Heart Association required; Medical Assistant Certification (AMT or AAMA) is preferred, but not required.
• Experience: One year of work experience required, previous experience working in a medical office (or related field) is preferred. On the job training is provided for those who do not have previous medical assistant training or experience.
