Actual compensation offered ranges from $21.45 to $32.20 for an MA and $23.65 to $35.50 for an LPN, based on qualifications, skills, experience, and training.
Responsibilities
- Preparing and rooming patients for exams by obtaining vital signs and gathering pertinent health information.
- Performing laboratory procedures such as strep tests, wound cultures, and specimen collection using aseptic techniques.
- Assisting physicians or advanced practice providers with procedures and surgeries.
- Administering routine medications under physician or APP orders.
- Providing patient instructions and following through with test requests, referrals, and care plans.
- Communicating effectively with the healthcare team and patients to ensure smooth clinic operations.
- Performing clinical support tasks such as sutures removal, catheterization, EKGs, phlebotomy, etc., under supervision.
Licenses & Certifications
- LPN: Valid state-issued Practical Nurse license and BLS certification (obtained within 6 months if not already held).
- MA: Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program and BLS certification (obtained within 6 months if not already held).
Qualifications
- LPN: Post-secondary training in Practical Nursing.
- MA: Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Proficient in computer skills, including electronic medical records.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build rapport with patients and team members.
- Strong organization, prioritization, and multitasking skills.
