Job summary

MercyOne Medical Group in Waterloo, IA seeks a Medical Assistant (MA) or LPN to support orthopedic surgery teams with direct patient care and administrative tasks.

The role includes patient preparation, vital signs, documentation, and coordinating patient flow to ensure a smooth, respectful patient experience. This is a full-time position working 36 hours per week on a Day shift, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Must have completed accredited Medical Assistant program.
• MA Certification/Registration preferred prior to hire and required within one year.
• Must have completed accredited LPN program.
• LPN License in the state of Iowa.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and healthcare providers in delivering patient care.
• Prepare patients, collect vital signs, document, and perform basic clinical procedures.

Supports the operation of the clinical practice by performing a variety of administrative and clinical tasks. This position is responsible for assisting physicians and other healthcare providers in delivering patient care through patient preparation, vital sign collection, documentation, and basic clinical procedures. The Medical Assistant also coordinates patient flow, maintaining accurate medical records, and ensuring a positive patient experience.

Required
