Job summary

MercyOne Medical Group in Waterloo, IA is seeking a Medical Assistant (MA) or LPN for the Pediatrics Clinic. This full-time, day-shift role is 36 hours per week and supports our clinical practice with administrative and clinical tasks.

You will assist physicians, prepare patients, collect vital signs, document care, and help with basic procedures while coordinating patient flow and maintaining accurate medical records to ensure a positive patient experience.

Qualifications

• Must have completed an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• MA Certification/Registration preferred before hire and required within one year.
• OR
• Must have completed an accredited LPN program.
• LPN License in the state of Iowa.

Responsibilities

• Supports the operation of the clinical practice with administrative and clinical tasks.
• Assists physicians and other providers in delivering patient care through preparation, vital sign collection, documentation, and basic clinical procedures.
• Coordinates patient flow and maintains accurate medical records to ensure a positive patient experience.

Schedule: 36 hours per week, Day shift, M-F

Supports the operation of the clinical practice by performing a variety of administrative and clinical tasks. This position is responsible for assisting physicians and other healthcare providers in delivering patient care through patient preparation, vital sign collection, documentation, and basic clinical procedures. The Medical Assistant also coordinates patient flow, maintaining accurate medical records, and ensuring a positive patient experience.

Required

• Must have successfully completed accredited Medical Assistant program.
• MA Certification/Registration preferred prior to hire and required within one year.
• OR
• Must have successfully completed accredited LPN program.
• LPN License in the state of Iowa.
