Job summary

MercyOne Waterloo Pediatrics Clinic is seeking a Medical Assistant (MA) or LPN to support a busy pediatric practice in Waterloo, IA. This full-time, day-shift role handles patient prep, vital signs, basic clinical tasks, and coordination of patient flow.

You will assist physicians, document care, and help maintain medical records while ensuring a positive patient experience.

Qualifications

• Must have completed accredited Medical Assistant program.
• MA Certification/Registration preferred prior to hire and required within one year.
• Must have completed accredited LPN program.
• LPN License in the state of Iowa.

Description:

Position: Medical Assistant (MA) or LPN: Pediatrics Clinic

Location: Waterloo, IA

Schedule: 36 hours per week, Day shift, M-F

Supports the operation of the clinical practice by performing a variety of administrative and clinical tasks. This position is responsible for assisting physicians and other healthcare providers in delivering patient care through patient preparation, vital sign collection, documentation, and basic clinical procedures. The Medical Assistant also coordinates patient flow, maintaining accurate medical records, and ensuring a positive patient experience.

Required

• Must have successfully completed accredited Medical Assistant program.
• MA Certification/Registration preferred prior to hire and required within one year.
• OR
• Must have successfully completed accredited LPN program.
• LPN License in the state of Iowa.
