Major Responsibilities
- Prepare and room patients for exams by obtaining vital signs and gathering pertinent health information, including chief complaints, allergies, and medications. Monitor and complete Clinical Integration/Quality Improvement measures, notifying clinicians of opportunities within scope.
- Perform laboratory procedures such as strep tests, wound cultures, and specimen collection using aseptic techniques and infection control guidelines.
- Assist physicians and APCs with procedures like pelvic exams, allergy testing, EMG, cautery, and colposcopy.
- Administer routine medications under physician or APC orders, including immunizations, antibiotics, vitamins, and topical agents.
- Coordinate necessary procedures, tests, referrals, and appointments, and communicate effectively with patients and team members.
- Perform clinical support tasks such as suture removal, laboratory procedures, phlebotomy, EKG, spirometry, Holter monitoring, and prescription refills under supervision.
- Provide age-appropriate care, demonstrating knowledge of growth and development principles and assessing patient data to meet individual needs.
Licenses & Certifications
- LPN: Active license issued by the state and BLS certification within 45 days if required.
- Medical Assistant: BLS certification within 45 days if required.
Education and Experience
- LPN: Completion of an approved practical nursing program.
- Medical Assistant: GED or high school diploma, plus completion of an accredited program or 2 years of recent full-time experience.

This position may be eligible for a sign-on bonus following 90 days of employment (qualified external candidates).

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 35 pounds, standing, walking, and other movements.
- Exposure to hazards such as blood and body fluids; use of protective equipment required.
- Schedule: 8–9-hour shifts during standard business hours (Mon-Fri 6:45am-5:30pm).

Position is entry-level, full-time, in healthcare. Candidate must demonstrate appropriate skills and knowledge for patient care across age groups.
