Job summary

Ohio State University Physicians in Dublin, OH is hiring a Medical Assistant to support direct patient care under clinical protocols. You will room patients, take vital signs, collect samples, and assist physicians with exams and treatments in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent with at least one of the following.
  • A diploma from a Medical Assistant Program
  • Minimum of 1 year of medical assisting experience
  • Military Medic training
  • EMT-P (Paramedic) training
  • Equivalent of 1 year combined relevant medical assisting experience and education
  • Medical Assistant Certification
  • Not certified? Tuition reimbursement program available

Responsibilities

  • Room patients, measure and record vital signs including height, weight, temp, BP, pulse and respiration.
  • Complete patient interview and history.
  • Prepare patients for examinations, tests and treatments and explain procedures. Assists with procedures as ordered by physician.
  • May assist in examinations, carry out treatments and special tests.
  • Set up equipment and prepare medical treatment rooms for patients.
  • Collect samples such as blood, urine and sputum, and perform routine laboratory tests on samples.

Education

1 year medical assisting experience
Military Medic training

Responsibilities

Purpose:

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent along with at least one of the following:

  • A diploma from a Medical Assistant Program
  • Minimum of 1 year of medical assisting experience
  • Military Medic training
  • EMT-P (Paramedic) training
  • Equivalent of 1 year combined relevant medical assisting experience and education

Preferences:

  • Medical Assistant Certification
