This position will support physicians, providers, nurses and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, documentation, and communication with a focus on patient experience, quality, and efficiency. **Position Summary**The Medical Assistant will support the patient care treatment process by assisting the physicians, nurse practitioners and other clinical staff in the appropriate delivery of patient care services. The Medical Assistant may be expected to perform multiple advanced clinical support tasks without supervision. Medical Assistants collect and prepare laboratory specimens, dispose of contaminated supplies, and sterilize medical instruments. This position will arrange examining-room instruments and equipment, maintain supplies and equipment, and keep waiting and examining rooms neat and clean. The Medical Assistant verifies patient information by interviewing patient; recording medical history; confirming purpose of visit.
