Position Overview

The Medical Assistant Certified provides skilled clinical support, delivering direct and indirect patient care under provider supervision. Responsibilities include assisting with patient assessments, documenting needs, participating in care planning, and administering medications within scope and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow legal and ethical standards of medical assisting.
• Monitor patient condition and report changes.
• Assist with virtual health visits and manage electronic records accurately.
• Support administrative tasks such as scheduling, patient registration, and billing.
• Ensure a safe, clean, and organized environment.

Qualifications

• Active Medical Assisting certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA, NRCMA, NCMA, NCCT) required.
• High School diploma or GED required; completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
• BLS certification required at hire for some locations.
• Minimum 1 year of recent Medical Assisting experience preferred.
