Position Overview

The Medical Assistant Certified is a versatile clinical professional providing direct and indirect patient care under provider supervision. Responsibilities include taking vital signs, documenting patient needs, assisting in care planning, administering medications, and ensuring a safe, clean environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Adhere to legal and professional standards within the Medical Assistant role.
• Monitor patient condition changes and report to providers.
• Assist with virtual health visits and manage electronic medical records accurately.
• Support front desk duties as needed, including scheduling and patient check-in/out.
• Order supplies, track referrals, and perform routine lab tasks.

Qualifications

• Active Medical Assisting certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA, or equivalent).
• High School/GED required; post-secondary medical assisting education preferred.
• BLS certification preferred or required prior to independent patient care.
• 1 year of recent Medical Assisting experience preferred.

Skills
