Medical Assistant (MA) Kenwood Vein Solution

Medical Assistants are eligible for a $5,000 sign-on bonus.

The Medical Assistant is a multi-skilled clinical professional working within the scope of practice and standards of excellence. The role involves providing indirect and/or direct patient care under the provider's supervision.

Responsibilities include:

1. Assisting with patient assessments (e.g., respirations, blood pressure, pulse oximetry, height, weight, temperature).
2. Documenting patient needs and significant changes in condition.
3. Participating in planning and implementing patient care within scope.
4. Administering medications/vaccines as directed, including casting duties if certified.
5. Accurately documenting in EMR, managing My Chart requests, and handling patient calls and messages.
6. Ordering supplies, tracking referrals, labs, and tests.

Qualifications include:

• Medical Assisting certification (within 12 months of employment): CMA, RMA, CCMA, or NCMCT. ABR-OE acceptable if certification isn't obtained.
• BLS certification (preferred upon hire, required before independent patient care).
• High school diploma or vocational/technical degree in medical assisting; enrollment in an approved MA program required within 30 days.
• Minimum one year healthcare experience or 24 months clerical physician practice experience preferred.
