Job Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under provider supervision, including vitals, allergy/medical reconciliation, screenings, patient history, health maintenance, advance directives, and virtual health.
• Assist with indirect patient care such as scheduling, check-in/out, referrals, chart preparation, and prior authorizations. Conduct point-of-care testing with quality control and documentation.
• Perform administrative duties and cover front desk as needed.
• Float to other offices based on operational needs.

Qualifications

• Diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program, or active CT CNA, EMT, Paramedic, or Medic Certification, or relevant experience.
• Certification as a BLS Provider from the American Heart Association within 3 months of hire.
• Maintain all required credentials throughout employment.

Experience

• At least one year of direct patient care experience may substitute for formal education.
• Experience or externship in a busy medical office preferred.
• EPIC EMR experience preferred.
